Crysis, the beautiful looking first person shooter from Electronic Arts and Crytek, has released to retailers in North America and Europe. Already earning a 9 out of 10 rating from GameDaily's Steven Wong, the game's storyline covers a global conflict between the U.S. and North Korea over an extraterrestrial artifact. Equipped with a Nanosuit, players operating a U.S. Special Forces operative get a strength and speed boost as well as armor, cloaking abilities and options for fully customizable weaponry.

"Crysis is the culmination of the dedication and tenacity of everyone here at Crytek who shared the goal of creating a true next-generation FPS," said Cevat Yerli, CEO and President of Crytek. "Our vision from the beginning was to deliver an immersive, open-ended single-player campaign, to innovate in multiplayer and to give our community a powerful, easy-to-use editor and we're extremely proud of the end result."

On the multiplayer front, Crysis features two unique experiences. PowerStruggle is a team based mode where players must work together to capture resource points and win a race to gain a nuclear advantage. A classic deathmatch experience is also available with the Instant Action mode.
