Crytek today announced that it has founded a subsidiary company in Seoul. This South Korea-based office, titled Crytek Ltd., will be led by Young Mok Park. Crytek will use this facility to license and support CryEngine 2 to partners in Korea and around the Asian region.
"Establishing an office in Seoul was the logical step to expand our business in Korea as well as giving our engine licensees in this region the best possible support, through direct access to a dedicated local team," said Faruk Yerli, Managing Director of Crytek GmbH. "When we first met Young Mok Park, David Yoo and James Hong we instantly knew that they were the right team to kick off our Korean business to the Crytek standard."
"Crytek's Korean office will take a key role in increasing the quality of service to CryEngine clients," said Park, Country Manager of Crytek Ltd., Korea. "By establishing the Korean office, Crytek has shown its commitment and strong interest in Korean game companies as well as the Korean gaming industry."
