What will excite fans more than a gratuitous Bahamaut shot AND a gratuitous Tifa shot?

Recently, Square Enix released a new trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. This is the third official trailer for the game, and for the first time, the general public can see many of the secondary characters (such as Barett, Red XIII, Yuffie and the Turks) in action. The movie's story still remains mercurial, but this trailer has many of the characters mentioning "Mother" (Jenova, perhaps?) and a familiar summon creature.
The website featuring the FFVII: AC trailer has a good deal of information on the game spin-off, even for those fans that can't read Japanese. Along with the trailers, it has general story and character info, including the names of the three enigmatic, silver haired antagonists. Voz has short hair, a built frame, and some type of power glove he uses in melee combat. Yazoo has long hair, a sleight frame, and an apparent preference for firearms. Finally, Kadaj, the apparent leader of the trio, has shoulder length hair, a developed body completely hidden under black-leather, and a katana.
FFVII: AC was originally announced during the 2003 Tokyo Game Show. The CGI movie (which is releasing directly to DVD), was originally set for a Summer 2004 release, but that date quietly came and went, as did the "late 2004" estimate, with a new "official" release date still pending. FFVII: AC is merely the beginning of the Final Fantasy VII spin offs, with a cell phone game Before Crisis releasing this year in Japan, an action game starting Vincent called Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII planned for 2005, and a compilation of FFVII called Crisis Core will release on the PSP in 2006.
