When you get to the part of the game where you have to assemble Aerith’s flower cart, you should instead head back to the SOLDIER building and go to Lazard’s office. Walk up to his desk, flip the camera around, and look at his computer screen. You’ll see a picture of Sephiroth there, foreshadowing events to come.
