The concept of porting the old PlayStation 2 game The Adventures of Cookies and Cream to the Nintendo DS is genius, but developer From Software failed to implement it well. While Cookie & Cream has its flashes of creative, well-conceived fun (particularly with some gameplay ideas and multiplayer options), it ultimately crumbles due to the weight of underwhelming touch-screen controls and a lackluster presentation. Expect a large dose of frustration with a few puzzles, as well as some boss battles. Fans of the original may enjoy it, but others will feel disgusted by its bittersweet taste.
