The Game Boy Advance SP "Classic NES Edition" and the Classic NES Series of games will debut in Europe on July 9th, Nintendo of Europe announced today. Retailing for about £90, the Game Boy Advance SP "Classic NES Edition" is a limited edition model that bears a striking resemblance to the original Nintendo Entertainment System's controller. Gamers will also be able to pick up eight different NES classics for their Game Boy Advance, including Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, Excitebike, The Legend of Zelda, Pac-Man, Xevious and Bomberman. Each title will be available for approximately £15.
Released in North America earlier this month, the "Classic NES Edition" of the Game Boy Advance SP has sold extremely well. Japan also received a special edition of the Game Boy Advance SP earlier this year, celebrating the twenty year history of the Famicom (the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System).
