City of Heroes, the uber-popular MMO from NCsoft, has impressed many with its quality content and streamlined gameplay. Now, NCsoft has now released the latest expansion for this super-sized super hero MMO entitled Council of War. This downloadable expansion pack is available for free to all current City of Heroes players.
The expansion pack contains a vast array of enhancements and new content that will appeal to the newest character and the most powerful hero in Paragon City. Council of War will include epic archetypes for players beginning at level 50, new ancillary power pools starting at level 41 and new powers.
Council of War will also contain new zone events that involve striking dock workers and paranormal activity in Independence Port as well as the Clockwork King stirring up trouble in Kings Row. A new zone called Striga Isle has appeared along with a new villain group called The Council. The expansion pack will also allow a player to make contact with certain individuals in the game who can make a player's assigned missions that much more difficult.
No expansion pack would be complete without a host of fine-tuning and bug fixing and Council of War has a long list of new tweaks and enhancements. These include a new auto "AFK" feature and a fix for mission map crashes.
