Prepare to party like it's 1995; one of the most acclaimed RPG titles of all time is being re-released for DS. With Dragon Quest veterans and Final Fantasy creators working together, this was the first Square/Enix project before there was a Square Enix.

Square Enix today announced that it will be bringing Chrono Trigger on DS to North America. The game is a remastering of the title which originally released on Super NES in 1995. Chrono Trigger for DS is the first time the title has been officially released for a portable system.

Chrono Trigger features the character designs of Akira Toriyama and the musical score of Yasunori Mitsuda. The game will feature new content specific to the DS release, including a dual screen presentation and touch-screen functionality. Chrono Trigger on DS also includes a new dungeon and wireless play mode.
