Today, Konami Digital Entertainment announced the latest title in the Castlevania series. Titled Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, players take control of the titular order and use the "Glyph attack system" to defeat the hordes of Dracula. Players can use 100 different Glyph combinations in 20 separate areas, and even compete and trade with other players using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

"We have always felt that the Castlevania franchise has been an excellent fit on Nintendo DS, and based on the popularity of the DS classics, Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, our fans agree," said Anthony Crouts, Vice President of Marketing for Konami Digital Entertainment. "We fully expect Order of Ecclesia to ignite the fan base once again as it combines the classic Castlevania gameplay with an all-new combat system and outdoor environments."

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia will release on DS in Fall 2008.
