Last weekend, you might have noticed friends missing from trivia nights, birthdays, dinners and other group events only to arrive late or later found sleep deprived. Today, Activision supplied a good theory as to what happened. Over one million downloads of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 between June 11-14 on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Given that the game has already sold over 11 million copies, it's safe to say that over 10% of the game's base purchased the DLC. The game's first map pack saw over 2 million downloads last month, World at War was already a formidable force in gaming.
Offering four maps -- Bonsai, Corrosion, Sub Pens and Shi No Numa -- Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 continues all the intense violence, strong language, blood and gore descriptions that the ESRB graced upon the stellar Mature-rated game. Available for only 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or $9.99 on PlayStation Store, it's quite likely that even more of your friends will be missing this weekend. Why not join them?
