During a conference call, Activision CEO Bobby Kotick commented that the Guitar Hero franchise has reached $2 billion in sales, only the third game franchise to do so after Mario and Madden NFL Football. He asserted that Guitar Hero: Metallica "is off to a good start" and that the series has seen 34 million song downloads.
For the Call of Duty franchise, Activision publishing CEO Mike Griffith noted that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has sold over 13 million copies since releasing November 2007. Expectations are high for Modern Warfare 2, with the first trailer viewed 1.3 million times within the first 24 hours. Not to be outdone, it was noted that Call Of Duty: World At War's first map pack sold 2 million copies.
Activision also mentioned that the latest entry in the Tony Hawk franchise will release late 2009. New information about this title will apparently be revealed at E3 2009.

Turns out you're right, wreckscheetah. The Gama story was wrong, but this story will be updated.
"Not to be outdone, it was noted that Call Of Duty: World At War's second map pack sold 2 million copies." Actually, that was the first map pack. The second one in coming out in June.
