Hudson Soft announced its Bomberman Live New Year's Bash Tournament & Sweepstakes for Xbox Live gamers in the U.S. looking to blast competition into the next year. The event, which opens registration on December 31, 2007 at 8:59am PT through January 13, 2008, lets players compete for multiple prices including 100,000 Microsoft Points and an Xbox 360 Elite console.

The tournament kicks off on January 6, 2008 at 5am PT and the bombs keep blasting until January 13 at 8:59am PT. Players are required to purchase the Bomb-Up Pack 3 from Xbox Live Marketplace in order to compete in the Weekly Ranked Friendly Fire Leaderboard.
