It's been rumored for some time now, but according to 1UP the underwater epic from Ken Levine and 2K Boston will indeed make its way to Sony's console in the near future. The website says the announcement has been confirmed in the latest issue (July) of EGM.

At this point, details are scant, but the report says there are some "potential graphical improvements" and the game itself should make it out in time for the upcoming holiday season.

The full EGM story apparently also has an interview with BioShock's new creative director Jordan Thomas, who is taking over for creator Ken Levine – although Levine was previously confirmed to at least be involved in some capacity.
