Ubisoft today announced plans to release their critically acclaimed action-adventure Prince of Persia the Sands of Time as well as Beyond Good & Evil for the Xbox and GameCube across PAL territories. Prince of Persia will launch on February 27th, while BG&E is slated for sometime in early March.
"Prince of Persia the Sands of Time raised the Action-Adventure genre to a new level: incredible graphics and a hero endowed with thrilling fighting and acrobatic skills. We and the market had big expectations for the re-birth of Prince Of Persia to make this game one of the Top 10 X-Mas gifts" said Alain Corre, Managing Director of Ubisoft EMEA territories. "So we are now glad to give all Xbox and Nintendo GameCube owners the opportunity to experience the delight of playing this game."
Although Beyond Good & Evil has not received as much publicity as PoP, it too is a solid action-adventure that has received a good deal of praise for its unique gameplay and storyline. The game comes from the mind of Michel Ancel, famed creator of the Rayman franchise. Players assume the role of Jade, an investigative reporter. Armed with her camera and "dai-jo" staff, she must uncover the truth behind a conspiracy and save her planet, Hillys, from a ruthless alien attack.
