The flamboyant King of All Cosmos has once again screwed up the universe – during a tennis game, no less – and it's up to his hard-working son, the Prince of All Cosmos, to make things right again. That's the basic plotline for Beautiful Katamari, Namco Bandai's fourth chapter in its unusual object-rolling series. Although this latest edition hasn't changed that much, it's still a rollicking pleasantry worth spinning in your system.

In the game, you must roll a ball-like object (called a Katamari) around and increase its size. You do this by running over items scattered throughout each level, which automatically stick to the Katamari upon contact. Small items such as coins, cards and candy help it gradually grow in mass. Once it reaches a specific level, you can pick up larger things.

One thing working in Beautiful Katamari's favor is its bizarre nature. Even though he's responsible for this mess, the King of All Cosmos acts as flamboyant and goofy as ever, firing off ridiculous one-liners and using words like "sweetie". He'll even scoff at the size of your Katamaris if they aren't big enough.
