Atari today announced Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 and Kao Challengers are in development. The game is a 3D platformer starring Kao, the yellow kangaroo. Kao must save the world (or at least the world of animals) from poachers trying to nab Kao and his friends.

"For consumers looking for accessible, fun, pick-up-and-play games, Kao the Kangaroo fulfills that need," said Emily Anadu, brand manager, Atari. "With colorful graphics, a lovable main character, witty humor and addictive gameplay, Kao the Kangaroo is sure to leap into the minds of gamers."

Kao the Kangaroo Round 2 for PS2, GCN, PC, and Xbox and Kao Challengers for PSP will ship March 2006.
