The fan favorite and award-winning turn-based masterpiece Advanced Wars will transform into a real-time 3D strategic-action game when Advanced Wars: Under Fire lands on the Nintendo GameCube sometime next year.
The game, which is developed by Kuju Entertainment, received quite a welcome when footage of the game debuted during Nintendo's E3 press conference earlier today. AW: Under Fire will allow players to take command of a squad of soldiers who follow their every move as players guide them into action and order them to attack on command.
The game will incorporate a promotion feature that allows players to gain combat experience and increase their abilities on the battlefield. Gamers will also be able to ride into battle in a tank or fly over the battlefield in gunships, bringing the series' familiar characteristics home to Nintendo's GameCube.
We'll try to get some hands on with Advanced Wars: Under Fire when we hit up Nintendo's booth throughout the week.
