Grand Theft Auto junkies looking to spill some blood need to play Crackdown, Microsoft and Realtime Worlds' much hyped action game. The core mechanic remains the same, to explore an enormous and dynamic world while murdering thousands of polygonal people, except this time, gamers play as a super cop known simply as Agent. His mission, to bust up and terrorize three not-so-friendly gangs. To do this, players (alone or with a friend via Xbox Live) blast them with weapons, crush them in vehicles and increase five stats, some of which let them jump hundreds of feet through the air and throw heavy objects. Unpolished targeting mechanics lead to unfortunate deaths, but leaping across buildings Matrix style while shooting heads gets the adrenaline flowing; a guilty pleasure indeed.
