Xbox Live's John Schappert to Keynote Tokyo Game Show

While the Xbox 360 continues to sell at a meager pace in Japan, Microsoft intends to make its presence felt at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show. Today, officials sent word to the media that Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Live, Software and Sales, John Schappert, will be a featured keynote speaker at the event.

Schappert will give a presentation called "A Canvas for the World" in which he will "provide an in-depth look at how Xbox 360 will bring more people together than ever before to enjoy the next wave of interactive entertainment experiences." Vague descriptions aside, we imagine this means Schappert will delve into the "new Xbox experience" and go into further detail about the relaunch of the dashboard and accompanying games and features, following up on what Microsoft revealed at E3 in July.

The keynote will take place during TGS in the Makuhari Messe International Conference Hall on Thursday, October 9 at 12:00 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.
