With the Immersion lawsuit now a distant memory and the fully rumble enabled DualShock 3 controller on store shelves (it shipped in early April), a number of existing and new PlayStation 3 owners apparently felt compelled to pick up the new controller, which sells for the price of $54.99.
According to the latest data from Sony Computer Entertainment America, during April the DualShock 3 generated sales of more than $10.9 million.
Sony will be phasing out the Sixaxis controller as time goes on, and the DualShock 3 will come packed in with the special Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 hardware bundle that ships on June 12.
