Daily Games News is reporting that a lawsuit has been launched against Microsoft for the large number of Xbox 360 hardware failures. This suit is being brought forth in Sacramento County Superior Court, citing Californian consumer protection statutes.
The class action suit not only admonishes Microsoft for the shoddy quality of the Xbox 360 hardware, but also cites stories from VentureBeat, which claim that Microsoft knew about the problems but released the console anyway in order to beat the PS3 and Wii to market.
The suit is seeking an order for Microsoft to relinquish all profits gained from Xbox 360 sales and that the company issue a refund program in the state of California.

what most of the people who had their xboxs "broken" dont realize is that usually its just a loose plug, like its not plugged into the xbox fully, i get the ring of death all the time, but if i just push the plugs in harder it works fine. im not saying that none of them did break but some or probably most were just a little problem like that because the "red ring of death" doesnt mean that your xbox isnt functional it means there is a hardware malfunction so before you send it in check all of the cords.
what makes california so special my 360 broke and I had it fixed no problem! My dumbass friend on the other hand has broken 2 360s because he treats them like crap by leaving them on for 48 hours and Im sure thats what california does
that's B.S, Microsoft has always been my favorite compared to Sony or Nintendo. Look what happened when the first Ps3 came out, almost every one was crap and they didn't do this, Sony shrugged their shoulders and fixed the problem leaving anyone with a messed up one nothing. everyone I know; friends, family, people I play paintball with or other sports, online chats, only about 1 in every 150 actually have a problem. the problem is customers that think they can treat their 360 like crap and still expect it to work. sad day for anyone that takes care of their 360
wow. my own city is going to try and bankrupt microsft. those stupid, stupid people
