While this probably won't come as a shock to anyone, it looks as though Guitar Hero IV will support options like vocals, drums and song creation. Sadly, it isn't much of a surprise that the drum looks incompatible with Rock Band either.

Shacknews is reporting that Guitar Hero IV will feature support for vocals, drums and song creation. This news will "debut" in Game Informer's June issue. Activision recently promised that more details about Guitar Hero IV will come out in the next two weeks.

The report by Shacknews also says that certain indicators point to an incompatibility between the drum set for Guitar Hero IV and the one used in Rock Band. Images of the Guitar Hero IV drum set in Game Informer show three drum pads, two cymbal pads and a foot pedal compared to the Rock Band drum set, which has four drum pads and a foot pedal. Considering the ongoing compatibility feud between Activision and Harmonix over guitar controllers, it seems likely that the drum sets for Guitar Hero and Rock Band will now also be incompatible with each other.
