You may recall that about two years ago, Nintendo of America decided to shift its marketing offices from Redmond to the Bay Area. Shortly following this decision, long-time Nintendo executives George Harrison, Perrin Kaplan and Beth Llewelyn all left the company. Now, Denise Kaigler, who joined Nintendo to fill the vice president of corporate affairs role left vacant by Kaplan, has decided to leave.
Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales and Marketing, Cammie Dunaway, told Kotaku in a statement, "Denise Kaigler has been a valuable part of the Nintendo of America team for the last two years. She's made a personal decision to spend more time with her family in New England. We wish her all the best in this next chapter of her life, and we look forward to continuing to deliver great Nintendo experiences to people of all ages as we head into this holiday season."
We had the chance to meet and interview Kaigler multiple times during her time at Nintendo, and we wish her all the best. There's no word yet on who will replace her.
