At E3, the mere mention of a new Zelda title for Wii sent ripples throughout the Internet. The first piece of artwork and the notion that Wii MotionPlus controls might be included gave the impression that the game might be a departure from series conventions.
In the latest issue of Nintendo Power via Aeropause, Shigeru Miyamoto doused the hope that the new Legend of Zelda would be revolutionary. When asked about the game, he responded, “I don’t think it’s going to be that radically different.”
The game is still in a very early phase, but Miyamoto's comments don't surprise us much; most Zelda games follow a certain pattern, adding perhaps a new feature or two with every incarnation to make it seem fresh. IndustryGamers made up a story about Link's shirt buttons being the key to saving Hyrule in about five minutes, so we're sure they'll come up with some reason for the seminal series hero to rescue Princess Zelda again.
