While Activision and its hardware creation division, RedOctane, have officially announced the new drum set for the upcoming Guitar Hero 5, two pictures, depicting the version of the upcoming set for Wii appears on the official Guitar Hero Store (part of RedOctane), as reported by Engadget.
Considering that Logitech announced its $229 Wireless Drum Set for PS2/PS3, a setup that works with Guitar Hero World Tour, this year's season of rock is going to get competitive.
In the pictures, fans will note the new high hat design, the controller panel's been moved from the top to the bottom of the drum area, a Rock Band style bar to secure the pedal and what appear to be elevated drum pads that hover above their respective colored rims. Sadly, the Official Guitar Hero site doesn't list any prices for the drum set.
