The drama surrounding Fox News' terribly misleading and ignorant TV segment on Mass Effect now continues with a spokesperson telling MTV Multiplayer that the network has invited EA to come onto their "Live Desk" show and discuss the game.

"Fox News Channel has extended several invitations to EA through a company representative to appear on 'Live Desk With Martha MacCallum' to discuss Mass Effect and the segment which aired on Monday. We have received no response," reads the statement.

This is contrary to what EA VP of Communications Jeff Brown told us – that all he received was a one-line Blackberry message from the producer directing him to contact Fox's PR team.

We'll see what happens next, but ultimately there's still no correction, which means regular Fox News viewers have been led to believe that Mass Effect is some sort of sex simulator rather than the beautifully crafted sci-fi RPG that it is.
