Epic: Unreal Engine 4 Targeting Next-Gen Consoles in 2012

Epic Games' President Mike Capps has been discussing his company's middleware at GameFest in Seattle. There, he commented on Epic's plans for Unreal Engine 4, the next-generation of the popular middleware.
"We've got Unreal [Engine] 4 in production right now... it's going to be in the next console generation - our rough guess is 2012 [to] 2018," said Capps, according to Gamasutra.
This console focus reaffirms the direction Epic CEO Tim Sweeney revealed for the company when he said, "The Unreal engine is really tied to a console cycle."
