Sony Computer Entertainment America has yet to confirm, but following yesterday's news that the company dropped longtime advertising partner TBWA, Advertising Age is reporting that Deutsch beat out the other agencies to win the $150 million PlayStation advertising account.

The account will see Deutsch handle marketing for PS3, PS2, PS1, the PlayStation Network as well as all game titles. Deutsch was founded in 1969 by David Deutsch and has marketed for Saturn, Ikea, Johnson & Johnson, Verizon and many others.

As for TBWA, the agency said in a statement, "TBWA/Chiat/Day is very proud of the contributions that we have made over the past 12 years to establish PlayStation as a legacy brand. The current work in the marketplace has had tremendous impact and speaks for itself. We wish them the best."

GameDaily BIZ has once again contacted SCEA to confirm (they originally declined to comment on the initial report).
