Too Human Demo Downloaded More Than Any Other Action Demo

With Silicon Knights' Xbox 360-exclusive action-RPG title Too Human now gold and ready for its August 19 launch, Microsoft happily announced that the demo for the game, which allows gamers to play through the first level, has already been downloaded over 900,000 times on Xbox Live in its first week of availability and has been one of the top played titles on Xbox Live overall – clearly a good sign for Microsoft and no doubt encouraging to Silicon Knights boss Denis Dyack.

Too Human is planned as a trilogy on the Xbox 360, but the game has had a somewhat troubled and drawn out birthing, with the original concept actually having been conceived for the PlayStation. With production on the game finally hitting full steam, Silicon Knights encountered another obstacle in the form of Unreal Engine 3, which the developer said was "inadequate" at the time. Silicon Knights wound up suing Epic Games and ultimately had to rewrite the game's engine without Unreal technology.
