MTV's Mutliplayer is reporting that Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick recently gave an update on the downloadable content of Grand Theft Auto IV. Speaking at the BMO Capital Markets Conference in New York City, he strongly implied that the expansion may release in Spring 2009.

"It's close to being complete," commented Zelnick. "That said, it may move into the second quarter. Downloadable content is a big undertaking. It is important to be really special."

On the subject of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, he commented that the game is uncertain for the 2009 fiscal year, ending January 31, 2009. The DS title is now expected to release sometime before April 2009.
