Greece

Back in mid-2002, the Greek government passed a law intended to ban illegal gaming, but it was interpreted as an outright ban on all video games in public or private use. Later review of the controversial law redefined the ban as only affecting Internet cafes. By September 2002, the government clarified the law as only pertaining to gambling devices and not console, PC or mobile games, thus allowing gamers to play again.
