Video Gaming Under Fire
Here in the United States, video gamers deal with countless threats to their entertainment liberties. From local politicians who want to appear family friendly to gung-ho politicos seeking a national stage (or merely their 15 minutes of fame), there are many non-gamers who feel that any violence in games should disappear from public consumption. Thankfully, there are places in the world where being a video game fan are much worse.

I like to read the comments because they down you so bad. and you down Nintendo. stop! you guys should REALLY play one of the classics like Metriod, Mario, or Legend of Zelda. Im sick of you guys.

Even if this was true (which these people say it isn't. And I know for a fact from friends that both Australia and the UK get the games you listed) you didn't even list that many games! it's not like all video games were banned. I'm sure hard core fans of the series you listed will disagree, but honestly... they aren't missing out on much if that's it.
i live in Australia and those games you listed are not "banned" when Grand Theft Auto IV came out i just went down to the local game store (EB's) and purchased it like all the other GTA's as for both manhunts i remember hiring them from my video store. Just like most of these game daily list your info is hit and miss.
i live in brazil, and really play all types of bloody violent games out there, they actually my favs. besides the fact original games are over 200 bucks at least, most ppl cant afford them, so pirate games are normal althought illegal, so any forbden game is easily found and brought by 20 bucks tops depending the plataform.
I live in Saudi Arabia, i have to tell u that the country is very open to gaming, pokemon didnt get a ban, but there is a debate about it, i have pokemon pearl and God of war 2, maybe the writer need to check resources?...
