Fewer chances to contract diseases
Rock stars attract throngs of people itching to throw their panties at them and go back stage. That's usually followed by lots of booze and sex, which is great until somebody brings an unwanted visitor (virus, bacteria) to the party. Look, we're not saying you can't catch a sexually transited disease because of Rock Band 2, but you won't tour the country and sleep with hundreds of infected while playing it. Actually, who are we kidding? You're not going anywhere.

Is it me or do these video game articles get dumber each week?
I dont play in a band...im more of a video game buff....but i have more respect for someone who is in a band. every one talks bout bands and new songs and all of the good things...rock band is a good game dont get me wrong..but i am for real bands. let me put it this way what do u lisen to ? a band or a video game?
Lol, thats SO not true. the games are fun and all... but nothing like the real thing. like guitar hero- if guitar was really 5 buttons and a flippy thing, i would have no respect for guitarists whatsoever. i'm in a band and i play both bass and guitar as a hobby. sure you can impress your friends with the game, but if you play them a song on a real guitar... thats so much better. my band sucks, and we probably wont get anywhere with it, but nothing compares to the amazing feeling of being on stage and really getting to wow people.
playing real music is alot better. your doing something productive, picking up chicks who arent fat and ugly, getting famous, making more money then pro video gamers, and its fun at the same time. whoever wrote this needs to stop rippin on real music because your game is based off of what real music has done, not the other way around
All you people with enraged/upset/derogatory comments toward the authors need to get lives. Clearly these articles are just jokes. No one is seriously telling you to go try to get a job playing Rock Band 2. These are just for entertainment, and if you think the subject of the article is that mentally deficient, why bother reading them and/or commenting? Calm down. dude. like not ****ing even. I'm getting the vibe that whoever wrtote this is ONLY good at rock band. yup. that's it. I play bass in an actual band, and i can say that a video game (while i love video games) doesn't even compare. oh, and by the by, I would LOVE to see the day when you could buy a couple guitars, a drum set and a (good) mic for $500.00. I smell ignoramus. (and what about the bass?)
comparing rock band and being in a real band is like comparing call of duty with being in a war. people need to chill saying it sucks and crap, just because theyre in a real band. its a video game, not real life. and no it doesnt take nearly as much skill as playing real music, but does that make you a loser because your good at it? and mikeguitargod, nobody believes this, if you had any common sense at all then you would realize its an ad, the people who wrote this wouldnt choose playing rock band over being in a real band. its just saying that you can have fun without other things happening.
