Fewer chances to contract diseases
Rock stars attract throngs of people itching to throw their panties at them and go back stage. That's usually followed by lots of booze and sex, which is great until somebody brings an unwanted visitor (virus, bacteria) to the party. Look, we're not saying you can't catch a sexually transited disease because of Rock Band 2, but you won't tour the country and sleep with hundreds of infected while playing it. Actually, who are we kidding? You're not going anywhere.

Wow. It's just a game. Chill. If you wanna play Rock Band, then play it. If you don't, don't. I play Rock Band and I play real concerts. I am not a celeb. and i don't screaming fans chasing me or paparazzi on my back. So chill.
Oh my god, it is just a game. As if being on the internet makes it okay to swear at and insult eachother over the dicotomy of a real band and Rock Band. If you argued about it this intensely in real life, no one would take you seriously. Congratulations, you just made yourselves look like bigger idiots by arguing about it on the internet.
There's a difference between playing in a band and actually playing good. Anyone can be in a band, but that doesn't mean your out there outselling concert halls and can play it out with the top dogs of the music world. And these are jokes people. It's just funny to poke fun at.
whoever made this list is a complete ****-tard and needs to actually try to learn a real instrument to the point of being good enough to play some of the songs in this game. plus with a real instrument there is no limits on how many songs you can play and it doesn't take years to get the point to be able to play in a real band i've been playing for 4 months and i'm in a band
The rest of you guys. Just shut up. I bet 80% of you won't even be in a good band. You know how 'hard' it is to start and even get started on a band? It takes a lot more practice then Guitar Hero or Rock Band, sure, but what they are trying to say that. It's just like an airplane flight simulator. You can fly an airplane, without the fuss and hassle of all the things you have to do in real life. It's just a game. Theres no need to jump off on the person for it. Even though he writes bad articles anyway.
This game rocks, people only thing it sucks if they suck at playing it. Its no different then any other game. And dont say "your a *** cuz u play this and not a real instrument" I play electric guitar fairly well, and im ok on real drums. And i would much rather prefer playing this w/ 3 friends then going sumwhere and playing. This is cheaper, funner, and you can play alot longer. Has anyone heard of NOT WANTING TO PAY ALOT OF MONEY!! This is a good alternative then paying 500 for a half decent drum kit, or 250 for a half decent guitar. Some people dont have bottomless pockets.
The only thing that matters is, that you don't become a mindless robot... HAVE A ****ING OPINION!!!! FIGHT!!!!! ...
and congrats to all the poeple who play this game an a real instrument, thats awesome, but it still remains true, that this game is going to leave the the futures music even worse than todays music.
in reality this game is stupid because you waste your life by lear***n to play a fake instrument, and play music you didnt create with your own hardwork. besides all the good reasons this list had for a game are the reasons people become rockstars in the first place. point is, stop reading this and learn an isntrument, becuase i hate myself for wasting my life writing this.
i think its sad that the makers of Rock Band definately paid someone to come up with this list for advertising. Rock Band sucks man.
