What's Next for Wii?

Madden NFL 09 All-Play (Releases 8/12/08)

Previous Madden games on Wii were not exactly feature packed. Not so with the 2009 version. Madden NFL 09 All-Play was built from the ground up for Wii, and has more minigames, a Superstar Mode, a Franchise Mode and online play. Our favorite mode, however, is Call Your Shot, which lets you change plays on the fly by clicking on a receiver and altering his route. We also dig the five-on-five mode, which sports painful looking hits and a cute, cartoon appearance. Get ready to throw the pigskin with your Wii remote on August 12.

First of all, I truly hope Nintendo isn't stupid enough to make Twilight Princess THE LoZ game for the Wii. That would be an insult to all LoZ fans everywhere. Second, MM9 and The Conduit will be awesome.

i think the thing everyone is forgeting is that this E3 isnt considered the biggest event in the industry. if you watch nintendos press confrence and hear how small thier booth was on the floor you realize that they are holding back on E3 and thats probably the best move for them at the moment. PS3 and 360 are releasing new fantastic looking, highly anticipated titles, while nintendo has already released most of its hardcore francises already. anything they showed at E3 would be overshadowed by some Gears of War or Little Big Planet game depending on what the game was trying to accomplish. if you want proof that nintendo gets overshadowed by these games look back a couple of weeks to the launch of GTA4. mario kart wii was released so close to it a game that under normal cir***stances would have been a game to run out and buy right away got none of the spotlight because GTA4 was so big it took the whole spotlight and thats only 1 game. at E3 they have to compete with allot of games. that being said it is dissappointing that nintendo doesnt want to provide for its hardcore fans at E3. wether you want to make a showing at E3 or not dont show up with casual games to an event that's audience is almost entirely hardcore gammers. there was alttile hope though for us nintendo fans, they are in position to bring out thier own event so that they can take the full spotlight and show titles we havnt heard of yet. i cant believe nintendo has been placing all thier resources toward new IPs intended for casual gamers and if they are they will have lost me as a fan.but they need to show something soon, i cant remember the last time on a nintendo console 3rd party games were the most anticipated titles but thats whats happened because nintendo believes that thier success is from selling to casual gamers so thats who thier show was for. but thats not a winning strategy they should focus on games like mario kart and mario galaxy, games that hardcore gamers and casual gamers can both take enjoyment out of. Anyway for the wii i think the biggest titles i can see are Guitar Hero, Rock Band,Tales of Symphonia 2, and The Conduit. and even im not a Rock Band man so yea for the next i dont know how many months ive got 1 wii game to buy. Nintendo please show me something to give me hope

Ok, in my opinion, Sonic Unleashed looks like one of the best Sonic games yet! I gotta get it! Sure, the first time you hear the word "werehog", you probably don't want to believe it or it's just imposible for you to believe. But hey, have you even seen the screenshots that are almost everywhere for this game? They look so cool!

I must agree. People are saying not much is coming out for the Wii, but that is because many of the companies have to deal with an entirely new dynamic: the all-motion controllers and how to integrate it into their games. Let's face it, the Wii has the best design concept out there. Many of the people I talk to whom have a PS3 or 360 are already talking about getting a Wii once they can. It's a dynamic style many cannot compete with. But, I tend to agree with lexa0810. What about StarFox, Kirby, and other games out there? Heck, you already have a model for Kirby, Meta K***ht, and King Dee Dee Dee, so why not go on with the whole thing? Also, why not bring back some of the old fun stuff, such as Kid Icarus. Also, when is the next F-Zero coming out? Or even Star Wars with some sort of flight game. I don't mean like Rogue II, but going back to Rogue I and learning what made it a hit. Bring in the new characters and storyline and put IV together. Most definately would be worth the wait. But, I digress as to what they could do and only am able to revel in what they are doing for the next year. And, is it just me, or does the fireballs coming from the dragon in MM9 seem to look reminicent of the fireball enemy in Super Mario Bros. 2?

Hello, you ****s!!! The Wii is designed for all ages!!!! Nintendo showed off what is unique to the system that PS3 and 360 both don't have. I'm a girl, and I like hardcore games as well, but get real!!! Super Mario Galaxy was released last year, Twilight Princess the year before! You think they would honestly talk about that!? It took nearly 7 years for both Mario and Link to emerge with something big on a non-portable system!!!! As for Madden, it needs to end. I don't play sports games, but I do watch. They just use the same formula again and again and again! Personally, I feel that Nintendo has had one of the best presonations in years. Animal Crossing on the Wii, new Wii Sports, and Wii Music. So what if it doesn't shine as much as Rock Band (I do loooove that game), it still looks good! Castlevania, I do have to agree, very bad idea. Why would Konami change up everything to a fighter game. If you ask me, this franchise began to slip after Dawn of Sorrow. Sonic, however, I am pleased to say that I can finally shout for joy! Sonic Chronicles, surprisingly, looks great! I think BioWare can a good one of for all Sonic and RPG fans out there. Sonic Unleashed, words cannot describe how excited I am for that! I think this time Sega is doing the right thing by adding old and new Sonic elements. By day, the type of Sonic game people want. I think critics were too hard on Sonic and the Secret Rings, that might have been Sonic's turnaround! By ***ht, my hardcore side gets fed, even if it's just a little bit. I've got to say, every time I hear werehog, I bust out laughing. Frankly, they could've thought of a better term, but I digress. Combat, combat, combat, that's all I can say!!! Honestly, I think Sega fused Dark Jak, Shadow, and a rabid beast together, ROFLOLMAO!!!!! Anyway, most of you guys are nuts if you think Nintendo did a bad job at E3 this year. I feel each platform added something, but fell short with a few things. PS3, some of the games don't look so hot. Wii, games were very good, but they should have said something about some of the other big names in Nintendo. Kirby, Star Fox, heck even talking about upcoming Mario would have been nice. 360 and Apple, WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO!!!! Microsoft asking Apple for help!? Plus, Apple did a poor job with the online stuff. More importantly, 360 trying to imitate the Mii system on the Wii, something I think only Wii is capable of doing. All the systems as a whole fell short with games. PS3, most don't look good. 360, they mentioned nothing about online gameplay, which I was surprised about. Wii, not showcasing Nintendo's big characters. In short, gamewise, I don't any system has pulled ahead, but I also think that PS3 and Wii are ahead of 360 with the releases of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Meta K***ht rocks on there). Hardware, Nintendo is way out in front with that. The WiiSpeak for Animal Crossing might not be the best thing in the world, but at least Nintendo is working on online, wi-fi stuff for once. WiiMotion Plus I feel will make gameplay much easier in the long run on the Wii. PS3 and 360 fell short by not showcasing many hardware upgrades. Finally, stats. Sales are dominated by the Wii, even this summer. Every time I go somewhere that carries a Wii, they're all sold out. Some places haven't gotten a shipment in for weeks (like Target). If you are looking for a Wii, go to GameStop or EB Games and keep your eyes peeled, go on Ebay, or pre-order it before the big holiday rush!! Nintendo, overall, for the past few years has dominated the gaming industry and additions to the Wii and DS from other companies' games (Sonic, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and more) are making them even more successful. Lastly, I'm glad Sega is digging up graves of past titles and making them beautiful. ***HTS was a success last holiday and I think Samba de Amigo will be just as good. I end on this note, most of you guys are crazy. Nintendo has finally stepped it up after many mediocre and poor years and most of you are dissing them, plus Sonic is looking better now and your dissing Sega on that!!!!

Agree with thisblows754 on the fact that Madden sucks, but that happens every year, I'd be playing either Super Smash Brawl or the new Mario Kart game online, and in a way, this was actually the best Madden could even come up with. Face it, Madden would never win me over.
