Blaming video games for violence and other things is just an excuse of how truly ignorant today's parents are. I dont mean to offend every parent but blaming video games for our social problems shows signs of stupidity, and ignorance. It is the duty of the parent to guide and teach their kids moral acceptible values to be able to be a succesful member of society. It is not the duty of society to teach your kids moralsvalues,please understand this. Banning or limiting video games will not solve our social problems, instead it cna actually slow down economic growth because video games today are generating thousands of jobs, and pushign for technological advancements. I play vidoe games an average of 1 to 3 hours daily but I play with friends, and we always have a good time because we learn to work together to complete objectives, and defeat the other team. Video games cna actually help improve our group wrokign skills, and learn to utilize our resources to the furthest extent. There is no scientific proof that video games cause violance but yet parents, politicians, and other people condemn video games like they are the work of the devil, and will automatically turn us in to demonic beings who have no moral values, and that will destroy humanity. Common people lets get real here, and think about what we are saying. Its obvious that the parents who want to bann video games never actually sat down and played one. Parents, politicians, and others act so biased and so close minded that they dont realize that many vidoe games are creative, and could actually be considered amazing works. They have their head so far up their arrogant ass that they fail to realize that they are wrong, and they are fighting a battle against a technologically smarter generation that will never back down against their close minded biased attacks to our enetertainment. Parents should accept responsability and it is very undertandable why they dont want their kids playing certain games, thats why video games have a rating system that state what video games are right for you child. Video games dont shove, or cram violance into kid's brain but its obvious that parents today are so lazy that they dont bother to sit down with their child and explain what is right and what is wrong.

Bonesnadoer- You arent helping the cause... Second, these video games are violent and disgusting, true. But so many people (including teens) are considered "Addicted" to games, that people would resort back to becoming the video game, IA shooting people in real life if you took them away. Its a vicious cycle that we have started and cannot stop. But, I dont see any problem with this cycle, as long as we keep these games around, everyone other than AOL is happy.

this is so dumb. fist of all its the parents fualt, if you dont want your kids to play disturbing games dont buy them. they cant sell a rated M games to any kid under the age of 18. thats y they have E for everyone ,T for teen, M for mature. its just like the movies G,PG13,R just think people. so dont be blaming your kids its all the parents fualt for buying them for their kids. PS: I love the graphic detail games more real. its like saying u dont want a HDTV bc it looks to real and u dont want your kids to see how bad it is. things are going to get clearer and look more real.
