25. Powerslave (Lobotomy Software)

One of the slickest first-person shooters of its time, Powerslave lets you battle evil Egyptian forces by not only using traditional handguns, but special powers such as the Ring of Ra (which shoots red fireballs) and the Sacred Manacle (which hurls bolts of lighting at your opponents). You can also improve your jumping, swimming skills and levitation skills. Sadly, it looks like we'll never get a sequel to this one.

PEOPLE. QUIT COMPLAINING ABOUT SEQUELS. READ DESCRIPTIONS BEFORE RANTING. BOTH HALO AND HALF-LIFE HAVE CLEAR DESCRIPTIONS MENTIONING SEQUELS.

This wasn't as bad of a list as I had anticipated! I am stoked you put Half Life and ID's infamous FPS games towards the top. I'm a little bummed out Perfect Dark isn't on here, but a lot of the games mentioned on this list, I haven't tried.

Half of the games on this list aren't even Fps's House of the Dead and those other track runners(by track runner i mean that you can only move on a set path and merely shoot at enemies not travel and shoot enemies) like it shouldn't be on here, and where is Turok 2 : Seed's of evil? That was one of the best fps's to ever be made it had great multiplayer and single player action or Half Life 2 that was in 2004 revolutionary and even Doom 2 or 3 there not here. Also Condemned criminal origins and it's sequel Bloodshot were both really good fps's how could they not be on here. Seriously who makes these list's

Im not overly offended by this list. Just one thing I wish were on here.... a little remembered game called Rise of the Triad. It was the first FPS I can recall where you got to use dual pistols. Crazy fun game...

im happy with this list... probably for the fact that im a nostalgia *** lol.... and all of you children complaining about the list can shut up. you obviously havent been playing games for too long to know what a good shooter is at all. i was a bit saddened to see that doom didnt get #1 but oh well.. i was very happy to see that powerslave, wolfenstein and the original UT got in there though. all of you children can shut your mouths.. most likely the first fps you ever touched was halo.. crap game at that
