25. Powerslave (Lobotomy Software)

One of the slickest first-person shooters of its time, Powerslave lets you battle evil Egyptian forces by not only using traditional handguns, but special powers such as the Ring of Ra (which shoots red fireballs) and the Sacred Manacle (which hurls bolts of lighting at your opponents). You can also improve your jumping, swimming skills and levitation skills. Sadly, it looks like we'll never get a sequel to this one.

The single greatest FPS series of all time is on there. Who cares what else is or is not on there. Go VALVE! And give us EP3 already >.

ok first off, to the idiots who complained about max payne...obviously someone else already said it but ill just say this again...MAX PAYNE IS NOT A FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, GET THAT THROUGH YOUR FREAKIN SKULL. second off the people who complained about killzone not being on here....SHUTUP...WHO CARES...

wow this list is horrible, aim people who run this site have no clue about games at all, and the funny thing is most gamers use aim, so its horrible for us to see a main screen pop up with this ****, seriously.

this list is decent, even though the list should go halflife, counter strike, bond, halo, and duke nukem should be nowhere on this list

first of all... MAX PAYNE isnt FPS No KILLZONE? Turok sucks... But where is killzone!? this article must be old too if dude thinks that Far Cry 2 is coming out later this year... wake up dummy!

Yes, story is important, but not as important as gameplay. If you have virtually no gameplay but intense in-depth heavy storyline.... You pretty much bought a pretty video book. However, FPS is not all about multiplayer. Yes, the multiplayer is fun, but I've NEVER had as much fun with a FPS as I have with the Half Life series, and I've never played them online.
