9. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (Sega Genesis)

Out of all the Sonic games on the VC service, we find Sonic the Hedgehog 3 the most likable. It has the most solid two-player mode out of the old Genesis Sonic games, along with terrific level design, fun music and classic Sonic gameplay. Sure, Tails still follows us around (the key term here is "stalker"), but at least Sonic still gets the job done.
