The Orange Box
To the uninitiated, a game called the "Orange Box" sounds like something bought from a fruit stand, not a collection of some of the best shooting games available. Although the title describes the color of the actual box the game comes in, it does little to reveal what any of the games are all about.

what a surprise, they dont know a thing about the video games they said have bad names. like others said, if you played the games, you would understand the title. like halo wars, takes place in the halo universe and focuses on the RTS aspect of the war. and if im not mistaken, "viva" means "long live" . so the title viva pinata would mean "long live pinata". perfectly legitimate title. the people who own this site must not care if the writers are garbage, or else they would have been fired by now
This article is terrible, like most. I won't rattle off a list like everyone else, because most is already said. But, putting Viva Pinata there is ridiculous. What did you expect? A game not about pinatas?
i have reason to believe that half-life is derived from the lambda simple. They're both chemistry terms that go hand and hand.
lol that weird pony thing is 1 lol
the hell is this garbage? Half-Life: "Besides Gordon Freeman being a theoretical physicist and the half-life symbol appearing on his hazard suit, the game centers more on kicking alien butt than mucking around with science." Did you even PLAY Half-Life? The entire game came about from mucking about with science! The whole plot starts with an experiment gone wrong and corrupt scientists! Deus Ex: "The game, a shooter/role-playing game set in a dystopian future has nothing to do with Greek Tragedies, but bases itself on the literal meaning, since one of the characters hopes to use a computer system to become a god." HOW IS THAT A BAD TITLE? You're completely and 100% allowed to use the literal meaning of titles! Are you saying that if I were to make a game called "Let's Paint the Town Red," it wouldn't be allowed to be an actual painting game? Come on. Do the GameDaily higher-ups even read these articles? Most of them are ****ing trash, this one especially.
Am I the only one who actually read the title of the article? The article wasn't about the quality of the games themselves. The article was about the NAME of the game. If someone doesn't know, just walks into Gamestop off the street, sees an orange box called Orange Box, what in the world is going to make them pick up that game? S.T.A.L.K.E.R. may be an acronym, but again, for the random off the street, it looks like STALKER, which brings to mind, oddly enough, stalkers following women around.
Polar...this isn't a list of bad video games, jackass. go back and re-read the title.
wow it sounds like they found someone who sucks ass at Halo 3 online, told him to write about Halo Wars and the above is what you see. Ok, Halo Wars may or may not be set on the Halo. My bet is its going be on Reach....since its b4 Masterchief. because all the Spartans are in this game. So there for, there shouldn't even be any mention about the Rings in this game. Since the 1st ring was found by the ship with the last spartan in it, Masterchief! there for, there shouldn't be any flood in this game, no brutes no halos, and no masterchief. But it looks like a badass RTSG so i want it!!!!
wtf!?!? how dare they put team fortress 2 and half life as bad games! those games are AMAZING!!!
halo wars is the strategy version of halo and halo is the planet slash weapon in the game get the real facts before you post these you idiots
