arbitersclient, You're missing the point. I think most guys would actually like it if women played games. The reason articles like this are probably written is, most guy gamers have been bashed by females because they play video games. I've heard countless women say that guys who play video games are "man-childs," "nerds", "losers", and other derogatory terms like that. Now I'm honest about my hobby, but when I used to meet women, I'd never say that I played video games. Most have no idea I play, but once I mention it, then they think it's stupid and don't understand it. Even my mom and sister think games are stupid and they don't think that any women play them, and I have to constantly explain that games aren't just for guys and that many women would like them too if they actually gave them a chance.

shadowdark33, It is you who are mistaken. I'm guessing you live in California where the largest percentage of girl gamers are. In most cities, they're still very rare. There weren't any in my high school of 2000 people, and there weren't any at the university I went to. They really aren't common, and if they do play, they often won't admit it. That 40% figure you're giving is mostly from casual games like bejeweled. And there are quite a few women playing games like Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and casual DS games, but the fact is, most don't play regular games. I don't even know why you're arguing with me here, because I already said I wish more girls would play games like Halo, Resident Evil, etc. If you knew anything about statistics, you'd know that they can be easily skewed anyway. I took quite a few stats classes, and am well aware of how data can be manipulated.

kosgolbez, you are sadly misinformed. Maybe do a little research before posting. First, about 40% of people who play video-games regularly are female. I have plenty of female friends who play games. Maybe you need to get a more diverse group of friends. Second, studies on sexuality show that females are nearly as sexually stimulated as men by erotic actions, regardless of whether or not it is a male or female. I'm not saying that "The Guy Game" is good; it's the stupidest thing I've ever seen, I'm just pointing out that your posts were just as ignorant as this article.

I really hate it when guys write this crap. It feels more like guys are threatened by women in games. Games women don't understand? Oh, trust me. This is just stupid. The only game on that list that I probably wouldn't play is "the guy game" because it just seems flat out dumb. I happen to LOVVVVVE Condemned 2 and Gears of War and I am a girl. And too be quite honest give me a few drinks and I would probably play "the guy game" and laugh my ass off. I love gory video games.

Also, I can't really blame him for saying that most girls wouldn't want to play the guy game. Not too many women are that excited to see **** unless they're bi or lesbians, especially on a video game. And most women hate these other games. If you like them, that's great and that doesn't mean that you're a man or want to be a man, but you have to admit that most women hate and bash this stuff.

Also, to you females posting on here, some of you are just as sexist as these men you seem to hate so much. Once the double standards stop, then maybe things will get better. I know very well y'all make comments behind guys backs about them not being manly for certain reasons or whatever, yet you except them to show sympathy to you.

sylvrak, You do realize that a very small percentage of females play games right? Especially those kind of games? If some of you would actually admit that you played games in public instead of pretending games are for male nerds, then maybe articles like this wouldn't be posted. Instead, you try to hide that you play games, so almost no one knows that you do. I've never once met a girl that plays games, and whenever I mention that I'd like to find a girl who likes video games, people think I'm crazy and that they don't exist.

GOW and to a lesser extent GOW2 are basically food for my female id. Oh Chris, if you didn't know, the id is basically the inherent part of our psychological build that is as primitive as it gets- and both men and women have it despite the majority of women being pussified by American standards and the *****-men who can't handle a chick with both **** and a mind. Sorry to make any 'bad' boys feel incompetent, but I and a number my titty-friends have been playing Unreal, Halo, Gow, God of War, Alice, Medal of Honor, Fallout 1-3, Silent Hill, Postal and untold amounts of other id-feeding games of differing genres for years now. It might be true that girl-gamers are rare, but stop feeding the stereotype man. If men 'would' only act half way as 'manly' as they percieved themselve while playing these games, I might be able to go to bed happy again.
