These classic video game consoles delivered us hours of entertainment, but only one can rule them all.

10. Nintendo Gamecube

Despite the fact that it looked like a purple lunch box, it's hard to hate on Nintendo's Wii-predecessor with its fantastic video game lineup. We blasted TIE Fighters in Rogue Squadron II, pummeled friends senseless in Super Smash Bros. Melee and sailed the high seas in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Gamecube also spurred the release of the wireless Wavebird game pad, one of the best controllers in history.

why is the genesis so low on the list? shadowrun? shining force? best rpgs ever?

the genesis should have been up higher. Shining force 1 and 2 are amazing rpgs and shadowrun was incredibly original.

Why is everyone freaking out that Dreamcast got number two spot? It's possibly one of the greatest systems with one of the largest cult followings of a system, ever. Hell, Japan just stopped releasing games for it in '06 or '07, and yet production of it died years ago. It's memory storage system was epic, it's game library was spot on, and it was amazingly fun. It's just a shame that it was out before it's time.

This was one of the worst top 10 lists in history! I cannot believe how so many systems were overlooked and HOW DOES DREAMCAST GET PUT OVER SO MANY OF THE BEST SYSTEMS EVER?????????????? WOW WORST LIST

Wow! The 360 is #1?!?!?!?!? Blasphemy! Original Nintendo should have been top 2, the 360 is overrated, scratch 360 and the DS and add the groundbreaking Wii and PS3

WHERE THE HECK IS THE NINTENDO Wii???????????!?!?!?!!?!?!?!!!?!??! i LOVE THAT THING!!!! AND HOW ABOUT THE GBC? IM SURE WE'VE ALL OWNED ONE OF THOSE AT ONE POINT. play statoin 1 sux. and im not too fond of xbox myself.

I don't know where people really get off on this. Yes there are a lot of Nintendo stuff, but that's because Nintendo has always dominated. Sega has put crap **** besides the Dreamcast and Genesis. So just be glad those two systems made it up there. I mean what else can they put up there? Nothing. And if you're wonder where your beloved PS3 is, it's because the PS3 hasn't really proved anything so far. All I hear is blu-ray, but it's not exactly like everyone is using blu-ray. In fact, majority of the population is still using DVDs. And it's games? HA! Such crap. Only Drake's and Metal Gear. I mean at the time being, the PS3 just doesn't have solid game... yet. Just wait till Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, etc. And the 360 does deserve to be number one. Look at it's amazing library of games. Halo 3, Gears of War, Bioshock (soon to be PS3, but not yet), etc. And it's online gaming just takes away hours and hours of sleep. This list isn't that bad. Sure you can move up a console up or down a level or two, but it's solid. Although I don't know why the wii isn't on there though because it's changing how people play games and who plays them. But whatever.

The Nintendo Wii should be on there. They media are always ranting about how Wii is a the best user friendly console in the home for the family and yet it isn't on the list.
