25. Time Crisis (Namco)
A lot of shoot-em-up games ruled the arcade back in the day, but Time Crisis stood out for one specific reason -- a well-implemented foot pedal. Using it to hide behind objects and reload your gun added some strategy to the usual run-and-gun play. Excellent boss fights (particularly your final face-off with the notorious Wild Dog) rule here, too. The game was later ported to the PlayStation and was followed by four sequels, including the more recent Time Crisis 4.

Cruisin USA anyone????????? Much better and more of a classic than any of the racing games on here. Simpsons a little higher. Pac-Man a perfect pick at #1 because it defines what an arcade game is all about and althought Street Fighter II is the ish, the best you can hope for is to be #2 to Pac-Man. IM STILL LOOKING FOR CRUSIN USA ON THIS LIST BY THE WAY!!!!!!
oops only got to #6 before I made a comment cuz I saw one of the previous comments. But like I said, you can't know off games like Dance Dance Revolution (pioneer in creating this game), or games that originated off Atari or something just because you were too young to know these games. I'm surprised Galaga isn't on there as well, but when I think about it, I think most people only know Galaga because it was sometimes paired with Pac Man at the arcade on the same machine. It got a free ride basically.
also, tha simpsons game is definitely top 10 material. This list needs to be redone
NP, did you even finish reading the list? Pac Man was rather number 1. And yes, PM and MPM are both on XBL Arcade.
are you serious? C'mnon 3, 2, n 1 should be mario vs donkey kong, nba jam, & ninja turtles
Everyone's gonna have thier complaints, but I know they did their best job to make people happy. There are a lot of games I've never seen before, but that is probably because I was too young to see them in the arcade and know their significance. I'm 23 now. Several of the games u speak of were better home console classics than arcade classics. In order to add some of the games u guys wanted, you would have to get rid of the last few like Time Crisis. Sorry, but Time Crisis is a ****ing classic. It was probably one of the best shooters ever in terms of when it came out. Street Fighter 2 I never actually played in the Arcade, hard to believe. Although I was the master of SF II and SF II Turbo on the SNES. The game I remember vividly the most is the original Mortal Kombat. People would line up to play that game. It's not even high on the list, but it made the list, so justice is served. P.S. THE LIST IS SKEWED DUE TO PROMOTION. IF YOU GUYS WOULD READ BETWEEN THE LINES, YOU WOULD NOTICE EVERY OTHER GAME SAYS "YOU CAN BUY THIS GAME ON XBOX FOR 400 POINTS OR $5". That's why Ms. Pac man is there, but not Pac Man. I bet you Ms. Pac Man is the only version available on Xbox 360.
Where's Double Dragon? I use to love giving elbows to the tall nasty freaks! How about Indiana Jones? I loved that game and Star Wars should have definitely cracked the top 10 if not the top 5 at least...this list is not list of great video games, it's some old man's wish list for xmas
where is missle command???? and donkey kong should be number 1!
u have got to be stupid to think jurrasic park should make this list u moron
Can't believe Galaga's not in there. You still find people playing Galaga in almost every arcade you go in to...
