very true But Im just saying when you look at it from the true point case to view, the war right now. many religions are used for diffrent intent than self puirification and ritualistic care. But when these same people start saying games caused this games caused that. then how is it wrong to say "religion caused this Religion caused that?" Is that not cause and effect? Anthrosnake those bed time stories are supposed to teach kids not to trust or talk to strangers and never back out of a deal. My dad was more upfront to me about it telling me that some people are f***ed up and want to touch you and kidnap you and kill you. I didn't know why people did that but it scared the s**t out of me. Then you have the parents that like to tell there kids these stories because they don't know how to express themselves to their kids. And those people don't get ideas from the bible. They were F***ed up from the start. It's just another excuse you're giving them. 'Letting them pass on the blame. I'm not Catholic but I don't hate on anyone's religion. You're basically saying that all Catholics think the same way as Hitler. You have it wrong my friend. There is a religion that believes in purification and world domination but I'd rather not say what it is for there are many of them and I'd rather not p**s anyone off and have my house fire bombed.

This whole idea of video games effecting people is bull, the only people it effects are the mentally unstable people that have problems in real life to begin with, and stop using Columbine because they were mentally disturbed and had things going on in real life not video games to blame, and why not ban movies while your at it because many video games are based on movies or vise-versa so go ban those while your at it anyway that was the prologue that i actually wrote last so heres the start... I'm a thirteen year old that has played every single one of those games and loved them some of them at the time I was around 6-7 at my brothers friends houses and things and I'm a perfectly normal person... If you want to rate a game, why not rate real life? By the time you are a teenager your life already is most likely rated AO or at the very least MA so what the hell is the point of rating a video game by what you think a "Child" cant determine between reality and virtual reality... It should be the parents that decide if there kids are effected by these things and if so then THEY monitor the games that they play not the government too monitor those things, there are so many worse things in real life, at school alone I'm in the best school district in my town and I've seen people thrown in windows get there noses broken open, someone fall down the stairs and have there head split open, my best friend falling off a 2 story slide and breaking both his arms in horrible ways and i could go on for hours, things that happen to you in real life are much more influential then video games so as long as your raised right and aren't a completely unmoral person then you should be fine playing what ever video game you feel like, BTW MORTAL KOMBAT 4EVA

Okay. firstly lets speak of the whole DX thing,. try not to take to much offence to this but. Anyone who supports any type of sect or cult, be it Christan or whatever really doesent have room to take up arms in the whole "What is Violent" section of discussion since inspecially with Roman Catholics and Baptist because let us remeber. NOTHING was as violent and to a lesser extent Still is as violent as them Or have we forgotten the Spanish Inquesition? holy crap, when did gaming become bible study?! I have been a fan of mk since I was a child. I haven't committed murder or anything of the nature. If a person is unable to get aggression out in a video game and go on living their lives, there is a problem with them. Pac-man eats ghosts......you don't see ppl becoming cannibals left and right from playing that game.....or do you @_@

If people took the time, to see what the kids were doing and there reactions to these games, common sense says, if they want to torture the dog and stab the cat, its time to seek medical help for that child.
