In addition to being a challenging strategy game, Advance Wars features cute little soldiers that happily march into battle, even after being shot up by an overwhelming enemy. Obviously, this is a thinly veiled play to train kids in strategic command while simultaneously encouraging a total disregard for the lives and equipment at stake. Let's not forget that these commanders frequently make use of super weapons with reckless abandon. Clearly, the next generation of generals will get advanced tactics training on Nintendo DS and Game Boy.
