#5 Mashing buttons equals victory
Say what you will about the different attacks and the interactive stages, but Super Smash Bros. Brawl is nothing but a glorified button masher. We're sure that throwing a well-timed Pokeball will often lead to success, but with so much going on, especially with F-Zero racers knocking into you and waves of lava swallowing everyone up, it'll be difficult to get your bearings, let alone become a hardcore master.

SSB has always been a game about being easy to play from the second u pick it up. Eventually you learn the finer points. I dont know if you were expecting Mortal Kombat or something but this game sounds and looks like its gonna be awesome to me.
BTW, I'm not the writer of the article, I'm just a fan that's pissed off that Donkey Kong sucks compared to how he was in the orginial Super Smash Bros.
I wonder why no one addresses the fact that slower characters cannot compete at all vs. faster characters in professional tournaments. Someone send me ONE link of a youtube video of Donkey Kong or Bowser or other slow characters winning professional tournaments(and I don't mean just one round, I mean the whole thing) and I'll stop complaining about how unbalanced speed is in SSBM and SSBB.
Wow, your definition of "advanced" if far different than mine. If you think an online ranking system is all that determines whether or not a video game is "advanced" you don't deserve to play a masterpiece like SSBB. Anyway, this article did a good job of proving how good the game will be. If "Star Fox Overkill" and not being able to voicechat are the only negatives about the game, it will be one of the best in history.
I own the game already. I imported it from Japan and its a great game. it doesn't matter if you can't trashtalk, that's what pisses me off on xbox live. i hear 5 year olds talking BS on games they shouldn't even be playing at their age. The three starfox characters have their own regular movesets, the Final Smash is kind of lame, but us tournament players aren't going to use the final smashes anyways. there's also still skill in playing the game, it isn't just a button masher once you hit a more technical point. So overall, the game is great as it is. I love it so much, i've had it for a week now and probably logged 30 hours into it WITH school stuff still to do. The game will be great, everyone will enjoy it.
Why would Gamedaily create such a controversial and unwarranted list? Hmmmm.....this is surely the work of jealous xbox fanboys or an attempt at diminishing the rapant popularity of what's already been a hugely successful game (selling over 1million in Japan and scoring a perfect score in famitsu magazine, a far more reputable source than gamedaily will ever be). So, the only question is how much did Microsoft have to pay for this?
