Let's face it No voice chat, no rankings, no matchmaking options beside random people and friends?? not for hardcore gamers guys. casual gamers who just want to have fun will love it. As for hardcore gamers like me i like the ladder and tourneys xbox live provides. that's what gets you better at the game is rankings plus with halo 3 replays you can improve on your game. not so with smash bros brawl. family oriented yes hardcore gamer no. those who have a will will defend it and that's ok.DON'T GET PISSED OFF THIS GAME IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. PEOPLE LIKE COMPETITION AND DON'T WANT TO SPEND TONS OF MONEY TO FLY TO ORLANDO OR CALI TO PLAY IN A TOURNAMENT TO SEE HOW GOOD THEY ARE.

i have played every one of the super smash bros games i played the first one the year it came out i probably played it 5 times a week until the 2nd came out then i played that a lot and trust me it is not a button smasher let me name the moves i know a b b^ b> b< b(down) b charge r a charge in the second one z in the 1st one l in the first one aaa and so on

Why would Gamedaily create such a controversial and unfounded list? Hmmmm.....this is surely the work of jealous xbox fanboys and an attempt at diminishing the rampant popularity of what's already been a hugely successful game (selling over 1million in Japan and scoring a PERFECT SCORE in famitsu magazine, a far more reputable source than gamedaily will ever be). So, the only question is how much did Microsoft have to pay for this? I'd like to play whoever wrote this and destroy him to prove that you can't simply button mash to win. I'm sure this "critic" prefers generic first person shooters with inferior dual analog controls....which is a shame, considering that Smash Bros is the greatest evolution of the fighting genre since Street Fighter 2. Whoever wrote this needs to get a clue or find a job better suited for a gaming noob.

SSB a button masher?! How does a game that consist of TWO attack buttons make a button masher? SSB is fast paced so it only looks like a button masher. Capcom fighters is one of the biggest button mashers out there where you punch in random buttons until you can make a special move come out. It doesnt take a genius to do A>A>A for a combo attack or ^B for an up special. You dont even need to randomly mash buttons for a Final Smash, just grab a smash ball and use the B button. And Voice chat? Have fun gloating at children that actually play this game. Go back to your Xbox. I dont play SSB but damn at least i know something about the game. Heh then again i dont expect much from an article featured in AIMTODAY. I mean look at the bottom of this site. Photos Gone Wrong? Wild Crazy Nails? What does this have to do with gaming? It doesnt. Let's compare notes shall we? We had many a crossover game before. Marvel vs. Capcom, SF vs. X-Men, and even King of Fighters. What do they have in common, besides them kicking ass? They're just a few fan favorites. Smash Bros has been a fan favorite since Nintendo 64 came on the scene and what the people says so. Alright, so it may not meet the standards of the precious few called "Game-Haters" but it's not like WE care! What other game can actually do the greatest franchise clash of all time? Oh yeah people, I mean MARIO AND SONIC!!! Nintendo vs. Sega..the FINAL round! Amongst the many on the roster, you got HAL, Konami and Intellegent along with Game Freak in the mix. If you ever loved Nintendo growing up, you just CAN'T make this stuff up. Nintendo has been for the people since '85 and damn anybody else who says otherwise. So we all know that BRAWL is gonna kick ass all over the place, rest assured of that! So we wished more characters were thrown in the mix like Twinbee, Rockman and plenty others but who knows? Maybe in the not so far future, it can happen..

after seeing everyone else talk **** to the dumb ass writing this, it made me want to write one of my own. YOUR A DUMB ASS. your one of them button smashers who i love to turn the items off (come on.. going at it with no items displays dominance and skill over everyone) and just see if button smashing works..which it never does...i just love to play with button smashers its the best thing to do since sex. who needs all that record keeping b/s just knowing i can whoop anyones ass online anytime, i dont need no damn rankings. id rather them not know so it makes it even more fun. ssbb dosent even need the online capabilities, it would be the best game ever without it...just having it makes it the best game to ever grace any system...sad to say it..but nintendo will officially win the console wars after this game comes out....come one over 500,000 sold on the first day in japan...the only reason why it got pushed back in the u.s is because so many people reserved it that they have to meet the demand..so yeah..it got pushed back so we can all be sure to get one the day it comes out....i reserved mine the first day it was available to reserve...that and final fantasy vii crisis core..........i love games =)

This article is the biggest pile of fail I have ever seen. And I've seen some pretty big piles of fail. Boo-****ing-hoo. You can't stroke your e***** to how OMG AWESOME you are for defeating someone. Goddamn it you're a huge pissant.

I'd LOVE for a button masher to try and take down someone who has mastered the game. for instance, "a well timed pokeball" or item thrown, can easily be caught by the opponent even in mid air and hurled right back into their noob face before they knew what happened. theres a reason why they have tournaments for this game, because all its hidden depth that you losers who wrote this article fail to see because you suck at this and the previous games. That, or you're just giant trolls and what to get people on this article.

youve gotta be real ****ing dumb if those are gonna put it in your mind that it sucks. most of those are easy fixes. too much going on boohooo, take it out, slow connection? make sure youre playing with friends? also presuming that its gonna crash is really awesome. possibly one of the worst written reviews. almost as bad as electric playgrounds review of the original smash brothers.
