Yes I said "zealots" and that is what you are doing. I am christian as well, but I play these games. Your argument is irrelevant. Can we please get back to the discussion at hand? There is a rating system in place for a reason. It is quite obvious that a ten year old should not be playing a game rated M. This is not a matter of the rating system, but of the parent's choice of games. I agree with wilsonsic.
I didn't say that religion and politics were in question, only that in deciding whether a game's right or wrong (or neutral) does one's moral beliefs, often derived from his religion, play a key role, and that a group of legistlators composed of people with their own various senses of morality writes and ratifies laws which exhibit the members' own opinions on the industry and on its goods.
truthfully, I've played it. But i really do prefer the real world. True, any kid that can get corrupted by this stuff once their seven has some issues and shouldn't be exposed to anything of that sort yet. much less television. I'm just saying that there's better stuff to do than sit around playing video games. seriously
aggiesgirl2013: Please, spare me. I qualify as a genius and I play video games quite often. Don't try to put yourself above the rest of us because you are "pure".
you know this is not at all about religion ... you people are completely off subject.
religion was involve beacuse this website to me is there to question values like religon is a certian set of values
I'm a perfectly well educated individual also, who tutors, gets 1st honors and ect., yet i do play this 'crap' So i dont see whats so wrong with it
did you just say zealots you think were trying to sell religon on you
I have played most of these games. I believe that the description of the "bad" games has been written in a form of high exaggeration. The "good" games are games that I might buy for a five-year-old child. Otherwise, I would consider them crap.
Why is religion involved in any of this? It is a discussion of video games, something about as far away from religion as you can get. You religious zealots need to get of your soapboxes and stop preaching to people. You cannot force your views upon anybody else, no matter how hard you try. Yes you have a freedom of religion but you do not have the freedom to harass others about their beliefs. You cannot have it both ways.
