Then: Power Glove
Released in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Mattel's Power Glove allowed you to pre-program commands into a futuristic looking glove. From there, you performed arm and finger motions to control games. Sadly, the Glove didn't work properly; even its brief appearance in the movie, The Wizard, failed to put one in every household.
