Retro Rewind: Old School Video Game Goodies

Rockin out with the Game Boy core system

In 1989, Nintendo's Game Boy came bundled with one of Russia's greatest gifts to the world, Tetris. In 1992, however, the company realized that not all consumers wanted the critically acclaimed puzzle masterpiece and released the Game Boy core package, which came with the system and four AA batteries. Bask in the glory of the retro 1990's packaging, which suggests (with its massive yellow grid) that the portable somehow escaped the confines of virtual reality and you had damn well better catch it. Note the Nintendo Seal of Quality in the bottom right corner. That's when it actually meant something, before those awful third parties suffocated the Wii with garbage.

Ya. I'm only 15 but I remember when my brother got his Gameboy and I would make him let me have a turn playing Pokemon yellow version. My brother is an idiot though and he broke it but I still own my Gameboy color and Nintendo 64 and a whole bunch of other Nintendo stuff because as you should know, Nintendo is the best and always will be even if we have to play stupid third party games that suck.
